Spam is a common term used to describe unwanted electronic communications (“Junk mail”). The most common form is Email however, it can come in other forms such as text messages, Faxes, social networking spam, and Instant Messages (, this is sometimes known as spim).
Whilst spam can be very annoying, for the most part spam is harmless. Although the spam emails are part of bigger problems such as Identity theft and or other scams.
The difficulty comes from deciphering which is spam and which is a genuine communication?
